THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO CLEAN OFF ACCUMULATED OILS, DIRT, AND GERMS
Your skin makes a lightly acidic secretion to help protect itself. This is called the Acid Mantle. Because it is acidic, the most effective way to clean it off, along with excess oils, dirt and germs, is using an alkaline foaming system (soap!). Handmade natural cold process soaps usually have an alkaline pH between 9.0 and 10.0. This is ideal for the job. Many mass produced soaps, many of which are synthetic detergents, have pH values between 5.0 and 7.0 (acidic to neutral) (Takagi Y., et al., Pub Med).
Why does soap work so well on the new coronavirus and, indeed, most viruses?

Truly natural handmade soaps are always free of parabens, phthalates, allergens, synthetic dyes, or synthetic fragrances, as there are no preservatives added to handmade soaps. At the same time, it will not irritate and dry the skin as it contains a high amount of vegetable glycerin coming naturally from the oils. Natural Glycerin helps improve your skin’s moisture balance by attracting external moisture and holding the moisture on your skin, without interfering with the skin’s natural functions. A high glycerin content is proven to leave a smooth skin feel. Glycerin is created during the soap making process. Handmade soaps retain all of its natural glycerin glory and produce a rich and luxurious lather. Large-scale, commercial soap companies remove the glycerin molecules to make a harder bar, and make room for other chemical additives.
SOAP IS MILDER ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Soaps are packaged in eco-friendly, handmade paper, which means no plastic bottles to pollute our environment. All natural soap bars are so much better for our environment & planet, not only as they don’t contain dreaded chemicals that are extremely harmful to our marine life, but the amount of waste that plastic soap & shampoo bottles create (in 2017 one million plastic bottles were purchased every minute worldwide). The soap bars, which are equivalent to three medium sized bottles, eliminate the need for plastic packaging, the wasteful short-use plastic items. They’re the perfect proof that things don’t have to come in bottles to serve a purpose. When the substances are used responsibly the risk to the surrounding environment is lower.
